This post was going to be my entry for Travel Supermarket’s Beauty and The Beach 2 competition however I couldn't get it up in time (boo for exams) However I still wanted to put it up because I thought it was a great idea. I was tagged by the lovely Danniella from Beuty In Japan (click here for her fab entry).

This looks is quite heavy for a holiday look, but I think you could probably wear it in the evening. With a sunny, sandy, beach holiday in mind I went for a bronzed/shimmery look.

Before I applied my foundation I moisturized with Simple Light Hydrating Day Moisteriser, Applied Boots Soltan Sun lotion. If I was going out at night I'd probably add a primer, to keep my makeup in place.

For the base I used MAC Studio Fix Fluid in Shade NC13, with a light dusting of Collection 2000. I then contoured with the NYC Mosaic Blush in Rose Glow and highlighted with my beloved MAC Mineralise Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle to give myself that "holiday" glow.

I filled my eyebrows in with Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil, because it is a wax it will say on quite well in humid temperatures (unlike my foundation would). I then used Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer as a base for my eyeshadow.

I think either of the Naked Palettes would be perfect on holiday, they are a little big, but they would lie flat in your case and you have so many colours to choose from to create any kind of look you want. For this look I used the Naked 2 Palette, I applied Chopper with my ring finger sweeping from the outer corners of my eye to just past the middle of my eye. I then added a tiny bit of Bootycall to the inner corner and blended that. I probably wouldn't bother taking eye makeup brushes on holiday because I find fingers work just as great.

Now for the tricky part, however you could skip this part if you were desperate to get down to the beach. I used CC Black Liquid Eyeliner to create a small wing on my eye - of course you could extend this wing if you want more of a night time look. Also, I'd advise
you used a waterproof eyeliner, even if you don't plan on going near water, just because of the humidity.

I then added Ardell Lashes (Black Wispies) and added a cote of Day2Night Rimmel Mascara - again use waterproof when on holiday!

The lipstick I'm wearing is Miss Sporty in Skin 200  I wore this colour all last summer and it is so hydrating and such a perfect "bronzed" holiday lipstick.

HAIR

Okay, so your hair is just going to be frizzy anyway if you're in a humid climate - so why not embrace it! I find this hair style so quick and easy to do. I slept in 4 plaits, however if you were doing this as a night look you could come in from the beach, wash your hair, dry it off a bit (if your hair is thick like mine), plait it, go for a quick "fiesta" and then get ready for the evening.

Then all you do it brush it out gently, or if you want more volume slightly tease it (brush it up instead of down, which sounds scary but you can smooth it over with your hands). And then clip to sections from the front of your hair back using any type of clip, however I like to use the small claw clips, I got these leopard print ones from Primark. I straightened my fringe, sprayed everything with hair spray and I was good to go.

Here is a picture of the finished look :)

I know the competition has ended now, but I am still going to tag 5 people! I tag Hayley, MariannaShannonHeather and Sam and anyone else who wants to do it!
