Look what arrived... *excitable screams*

So excited!

My MAC order came! I posted about this here. I also received a free Lancôme sample, however I'm not sure how to actually get into it, or if it is even a sample (help?).

Review | Lush Eau Roma Water

I have been using the Eau Roma Water toner at least twice a day for the past 2 weeks-ish now so I thought I would do a review seen as I've had a "good go" with it.

NOTD: Candy Stripes!

My nails aren't the longest, I've bitten them since I can remember.
But I plucked up the courage to show you them, even though I hate how short they are!

I did a cute candy striped pattern on them. I've done similar before with navy and white and also black and white, but today I wanted something more spring like.

First I painted 3 layers of Next Just Pink in ----. I had to build up the colour as I think this was from a french manicure set, so the pink was quite translucent. However I wanted it to be very opaque.

I then used L.A Colors Art Deco Nail Art Laquer to paint the stripes. I think I got this from Boyes for just £1 and it's actually really great! I am hoping to buy more colours so I can do different stripes and 'designs'.

It has a really thin brush which works really well when drawing the stripes on!

Just a quick post, so hope you enjoyed :)

Lost my MAC virginity..

I just wanted to express how excited I am; yesterday I made my very first MAC purchase/order! These two items have been pending in the back of my materialistic mind for quite some time now, so last month I promised myself that I would treat myself to some "high end" make up instead of buying little cheap things that I would get less wear out of.

I bought Russian Red in particular because what's the point in getting a nude MAC lipstick really? Also I've heard that this one suits all or at least most skin colours. It also has blue-undertones which is always good for a bit of teeth whitening. I know a lot of people opt for Ruby Woo, however on the website it looked a bit more of a pinky-red.

(MAC lipstick in Ruby Woo)
You probably already have some idea who inspired me to buy the Mineralize Skin Finish, yes it was Louise from Sprinkleofglitter! I just think she is so glowy and just looks stunning all the time! I used to be all about a very pale, matte face, however I have been inspired by her to try something a bit different. Fair skin can look radiant! If it makes my skin look half as good as hers I will be a very happy lady.

Hopefully they will arrive this week sometime and I will be able to do pretty swatches for you all, even though I'm sure these two products are quite talked about anyway.
Thanks for reading :)

OOTD: Creepers and Crosses

I received my creepers the day before yesterday! I was quite surprised how quickly they came through. I will just point out that I didn't end up actually wearing them with this outfit because they are slightly too big for my dwarf feet so I need to buy insoles for them!

Dying Hair: Before and After!

I thought I would do a quick post on dying my hair. I can't tell you any techniques and my mum does the initial dying.

I'd just had my hair cut here so I thought I'd be vain and take a picture! I thought I would take a picture of my roots/regrowth to gross you all out!

50th post! + mini haul.

Ooh, this is my fiftieth post! I can't imagine how I have managed to write fifty posts about nothing, well in saying that, I can, I'm such a rambler! Anyway I went shopping for my Dad's birthday recently and I also picked up a few bits, mostly things I will be 'needing' over the next month as I will be up to my eyes in revision shortly and I wont be able to go out.
Passion Flower Scented Candle - £1.50 - Primark
I've wanted a candle for quite a while now, I saw the Wild Berry Primark one a few weeks back and I loved the smell, however it was red and I'm currently collecting things for my new room and I want it to be really simplistic with only black, white and hints of hot pinks. This one smells just as nice.

Thrifty Tips and Tricks | Nail Varnish Storage

I don't know about you, but as I keep my nail varnish standing up right in a box I can never tell what colour they are because they all have similar lids and they're all black! I posed this dilemma to my mum and she came up with a really useful tip. Sticking a swatch to the lid! I spent my Monday evening swatching all my nail varnishes on to blank stickers and then when dry I stuck them to the lids. So know I can choose a nail varnish colour without tipping out the entire box.

I thought I had better show you my makeup bag! It has seen better days so don't judge me. I bought this yonks ago, literally, from I think Primark for a school residential trip and it's lasted me all these years and seen me through so many makeup phases from blue smokey eyes and teal eyeliner to black gothic panda eyes.

How To | Easter/Topshop Jewellery Inspired Makeup

~HAPPY EASTER~
I was originally going to do "Easter Inspired Makeup" with bright yellows and pinks, but I remembered these gorgeous Topshop earrings that I had seen (and fell in love with) on Becca's February Favourites video (voussontbeauetbelle) She has such a good taste in jewellery and I have these earring in plain gold, however if I had seen these "dip-dyed" ones I would have bought these instead. I think she said they were £4, which was the same price as my plain gold ones.
Anyway moving on these earrings inspired me to do this eye makeup "look". They are also crosses, which obviously fits in with Easter Sunday and the Easter theme!

I used:
MUA Matte Eyeshadow Shade 16 all over my lid and up to my brow bone.
Raspberry Pink shade from unbranded palette (see below) all over my lid, up to my crease
Beauty UK Bright Pink (see below) on the outer eye area
Beauty UK Bright Yellow (see below) on inner corner of my eye
Gold from unbranded palette (see below) on the inner corner of my eye
Light Gold/Yellow from unbranded palette (see below) on inner corner of my eye
I went over again with Beauty UK Bright Pink on the outer eye area
BM Beauty Pure Mineral Eyeshadow in Her Majesty on a fluffy brush to blend out harsh lines
I then used Barry M Liquid Eyeliner in Black and Rimmel Falsies Mascara in Black.

Unbranded palette I received from my friends Mum at Christmas
Beauty UK Soho Palette (not my picture as my palette is all grubby)
Here is the finished look.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I apologise this is another "how to" makeup post, I just hope you enjoy reading them as much as I like making them!
This is not a look that I would normally go for. Perhaps a year or so ago I would have, when I was going through my Hayley Williams phase. It's crazy at how my make up has changed over the years, I may even do a post on it in the future!

Natürlich

Today I have been mostly revising chemistry and preparing for my German Oral, however I allowed myself a little break and I chose to play around with makeup seeing as I wont be going anywhere until later (work ¬.¬).
I decided to try out a tinted moisturiser that I had laying around in my draw and I decided to see how natural I could get my make up looking. I will also say that originally I did this makeup as a kind of experiment/joke to see what I would actually look like with "normal" make up.
I must stress that I am particularly apprehensive about putting the following pictures online as this look is very "bare all" I would say, however I should just shut up and embrace it.

The tinted moisturiser I used was Nivea Tinted Moisturiser in Natural. It is ridiculously too dark for my skin, however you can't really tell from this photo. In real life I look very tanned/orange. I covered up my major blemishes after a few layers but you can still see my freckles.
I then used NYC colour wheel mosaic blush in "Rose Glow" pretty much all over my face.
For my eyes I used MUA Matte Eyeshadow in Shade 19 (Dark Brown) on my lids and also Shade 16 on my brow bone.
I then "blinked" on Maybelline Colossal Mascara, although I should have used my Maybelline Great Lash Mascara as it is black-brown and would look more natural.
For my eyebrows I followed their natural shape and filled them in with Rimmel Professional Brow Pencil in Hazel.
For my lips I used Lancôme Juicy Tubes Toffee R 'n' B, I went over them with the Nivea Tinted Moisturiser prior to this.

I have lots of freckles, yes.

Hope my face didn't offend you too much!

Pinterest Bandwagon; I have jumped!

I am proud to admit that I have jumped the bandwagon and joined/requested a membership of Pinterest! I did this for quite a few reasons:
1. To indulge in my need to try out almost all internet fads.
2. I like to look at pretty pictures of thing.
3. I am currently in the progress of designing a new bedroom for myself, so I need inspiration!
 4. I just like to be inspired by all the lovely things in the world.

I currently have 4 boards; Fashion, Beauty, Decor and Period Food.
I made a food board because I do love food and I never really get to "reblog" the lovely food on tumblr.

So yeah, follow me if you have a Pinterest please! If you don't, GET ONE/request an invite! It's like the no-nudes version of tumblr and it's really lovely.

A few bits and bobs!

I just wanted to show you a few bits I have bought over the past few weeks, some of them are repurchases and some of them are new and I will probably do future "review" posts on.

I've been using Batiste dry shampoo for years and as it is becoming increasingly popular they are bringing out new ones left, right and centre! I went into Boots and as you may know they have a huge 3 for 2 offer on across everything if not most things. I couldn't help but indulge.

Batiste Dry Shampoo Cherry 200ml -£2.99
The first one I grabbed is the new cherry scented one. It smells divine and I love it.

 Batiste Dry Shampoo Fresh 200ml -  £2.99
I also loved the smell of this one, it smells so fresh and I think this will be great for summer.

Batiste Dry Shampoo Clean and Classic 200ml - £2.99
I picked up this one for old time's sake! I really do love the smell of this one though, despite popular opinion.

EcoTools Recycled Retractable Kabuki Brush - £12.99
The next product I bought from Boots was this Recycled Retractable Kabuki brush from EcoTools. I was hesitant at first, because I am thrifty and £12.99 on a brush nearly gave me a heart attack. However I justified it with the fact that it will last me ages and I WILL look after it and it's good for my face. I'm so pleased I bought it because OH MY GOD it is perfect, it is so so soft I can not even begin to describe it. I love it and I could literally stroke my face with it forever.

 2true Glossywear Lipstick Shade 9 - £1.99 from Superdrug (although I got it on a 3 for £4 deal)
I was birthday shopping for my best friend when I saw this, I actually got the same colour for her plus a barbie pink one! Anyway so I love this as although it's red, it's really quite sheer and it also has lovely sparkles in it.
Here is it swatched, the top one is the colour built up and the bottom one is with one "swipe". I like to wear this over red lip liner as I think it changes it up from my normal block colour red lipstick because it's sparkly! It stays on pretty well too! I haven't been wearing it with lipcote but it seems to be lasting okay. I just think it's a really pretty colour.

Collection 2000 Volume Sensation Lipstick - Forever Heather - £2.99
I hate how my camera has made these two lipsticks look identical because they really aren't! Anyways, I bought this over a month ago when I got paid as a little "pay day" present. I really like this colour for sixth form as it's a really pretty dark red colour and it's not too bright. I didn't realise until I got home that it was one of those "volumising" lip colours, this scared me as my lips aren't the smallest anyway and I get self conscious about them enough, however this doesn't tingle excessively and it's a really pretty colour.

Again, the top one is the colour built up and the bottom one is just one swipe.

  MUA Matte Eyeshadow - Shade 16 -£1
I also bought this whilst out shopping for my best friend's birthday presents, however I actually picked up the tester, so I had to go back into town so they could swap it! So I haven't used this much yet because of that and it's the Easter holidays and I haven't been wearing make up, but I plan to use it for school because it's a nice colour to put all over your eyelids to make them look nicer I guess.

Here it is swatched, it's just a really pretty, pale, pink colour.

Lush Celestial Moisturiser - £11.50 but this is a sample.
This was a free sample from Lush! I absolutely adore Lush products however I have never gone in and actually bought something for myself, I always buy things for other people, which sucks. I found out that they actually give free samples if you ask and I was very apprehensive as I don't like to be rude! I just queried about products for sensitive skin and she pointed me to the Celestial Moisturiser and told me that I could have a sample, and I could come back to get more samples of other products if I wished! I haven't had much of a chance to use this but I am planning on using it around the dry areas on my nose and my KP.
Here it is! It is quite light but it does leave your skin a bit greasy so I will probably limit this to a night cream. I'm not sure if I will be purchasing as it retails at £11.50.

Maybelline Falsies Volume Express Mascara (said in a strong American accent ofc) - £7.99 (I got it for £5.99 on offer)
I don't usually get too excited over mascara's and only ever buy one when I need one. I don't have a favourite brand or a go to mascara as I haven't found an exceptional one yet. This follows the trend as I don't think this is "WOW" or anything, but it's not bad. That sounds harsh, but yes. I wasn't too pleased with the wand, is it just me or are the wands getting weirder and weirder? This one had a pre-made kink in it (I always kink my want but this one was not in the right place, in my opinion) and then the brush itself was shaped like a banana! Anyway I have made do with it and it works well for my needs anyway! My mother gave me long eyelashes anyway so I am very lucky - thanks mummy!

Coral Bag - reduced to £1 - Primark
I saw this at the tills in Primark and it originally had a huge PVC tassel thing on the zip, but my mum said "You could always cut that off", when I saw it was only £1 I swiped it and I am actually in love with it. It is perfect size for my camera and phone and has a 2 small zip compartments, one on the outside and one on the inside. It also has an adjustable strap so I can wear it over myself or leave it long on my shoulder.

I also love the little "stud" detail on the bottom, I think this makes it a little nicer. I think this bag will be perfect for spring and summer as it's such a gorgeous colour!

Blouse - £10 - Primark
Okay, so this is navy and white stripes so clearly I had to buy it. It's really gorgeous and it has little gold buttons and you can also wear the sleeves long (well 3 quarters) or shorter (rolled up). I am just in love with stripes and everything nautical as you may know if you are a regular visitor here!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay so I hope you enjoyed this. It seems like I am buying a lot at the moment but this was over the course of a month!
